Homemade Honey Granola recipe
- 16 cups (about 42 oz container) rolled oats
- 1 cup of butter, margarine, or coconut oil (I use coconut oil)
- 1 cup of Huckle Bee Farms Honey (your choice)
- 1/4 cup molasses ( I use a tad shy of 1/4 cup but that is taste preference)
- 1 TBSP Vanilla
Addins of choice such as cinnamon, pumpkin spice, dried fruit, nuts, etc...
Preheat oven at 350 (325 for dark pans)
Over medium heat on stovetop melt butter (or coconut oil), molasses, and honey. Once melted remove from heat and add 1 Tbsp vanilla. DO NOT add fruit or nuts yet. Place rolled oats in large bowl and thoroughly mix in any dry spices. Pour melted mixture over oats and stir until coated very well and evenly. Spread onto baking sheets/baking dishes as evenly as possible. Bake for about 30-40 minutes, depending on taste. Stirring every 10-15. If adding dried fruit or nuts, add during last 10 minutes of baking. Let cool completely and store in air tight container or in fridge. Delicious as a cereal or topping to yogurt or ice cream.
